The 2023 Masterclass Series

Monday July 24 – Friday July 28th 2023, daily

The masterclasses, focusing on the practice and performance of Franz Schubert Art Songs, occured daily across the week of the festival and culminated in a presentation concert where the singer-pianist duos performed. Singer-pianist duos from both participating universities were selected through an invitation-based application process. World renowned baritone and art song expert, Benjamin Appl, and esteemed pianist and Oxford Lieder Festival artistic director Sholto Kynoch lead the 2023 Masterclass Series, to much acclaim

The 2023 Queensland Art Song Festival is proudly sponsored by the Brisbane City Council
